The fine mulberry silk sheets are carefully stretched from end to end in a traditional process and are attached to the cotton cover with small diamonds to achieve greater stability, preventing displacement and allowing air to circulate inside.
These fillings are a jewel of Eastern culture. Mulberry silk thread comes from silkworms that feed on mulberry leaves. The mulberry fiber is stretched to form the silk filling with long silk threads. Here you can see the process in a small village in the Canary Islands.

  We recommend ALWAYS using the filling with a duvet cover.
• Air it in the sun for one or two hours to restore its original qualities.
• You can machine wash the duvet on a silk cycle with neutral soap. Our special soap for silk, wool, and linen is ideal.
• It can be tumble dried at a low temperature.
• DO NOT DRY CLEAN OR USE ALKALINE DETERGENTS as they damage the silk protein.
• Between seasons, air it out and store it in a cool, dry place in its cotton bag.
• DO NOT USE MOTH BALLS.
• Do not place any weight on top.

A recent study conducted by researchers at the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona and published in The Lancet Respiratory Medicine has led the media to raise the alarm about the fact that exposure to natural feather duvets or pillows may be linked to the development of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
